San Francisco, CA – Hackers are gaining access to the private messages of high-profile Twitter accounts with an internal tool used by the social media platform’s employees. Accounts affected by this security breach are public entities — like those belonging to Joe Biden, Elon Musk, and Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook. The perpetrators used these profiles to request cryptocurrency from other users. The identities of the perpetrators are still unknown.
