Washington, D.C. – The Trump administration and the vaccine development project, Operation Warp Speed, are now facing scrutiny. This week, the administration turned away the opportunity to procure millions of doses of Pfizer’s vaccine.
The vaccine has proven to be highly efficient at combating COVID-19. Pfizer pressed Operation Warp Speed to purchase 200 million doses late this summer to no avail. The amount would equate to nearly 100 million Americans being vaccinated.
That result is that Pfizer may postpone the arrival of a second batch to the U.S. The U.S. may not receive further doses until Pfizer completes other international contracts. Is this a manipulated, calculated move on the Trump administration’s part?
